Everybody likes presents, but especially to receive them, rather than getting them. I totally fit into this category and it’s not that I don’t like to get presents, I honestly do and I love to make surprises and see the reaction of the one I bought the present for. What is actually difficult for me is to decide what to get. And this task is even more difficult when it comes to choosing a present for a woman. You have to pay attention at her personality, her tastes, the way she looks, what she wears, what she already has, since women are practical, and you also need to bear in mind not to offend her when you get present, since women are moody and lack of inspiration when getting a present can cost you. A lot! And I am sure this task is even more difficult for men, choosing a gift for a woman.
Now, we first need to know who that woman is. We will start with less complicated things. If the woman you need to buy a present for is a friend or a colleague, chocolate is always a good solution; if you are pretty close you can go for a hair turban, fair trade jewels, or even a good book. But it is important to know if she likes to read, if she doesn’t is useless to get a book, she might take it as irony and that will turn against you at some point. A simple present for a friend could be a lip gloss set, a stylish mirror or a cool photo frame. If she is your best friend you can even put a great picture of you two that can remind her of the good times you had together.
If the one you need to get a present for is family, either mother, sister or cousin, you have to get something personalized, to show interest and care. A fair trade purse, a hand made cuff, a crystal encrusted rolerball, refined jewelry, especially hand made, a personalized mug or t-shirt with a message to show your love and gratitude can be perfect gifts for women in your life.
Things might get a little bit complicated if the one you have to get a present for is your wife or your girlfriend. It has to be something special, not too cheap but nor too expensive, but definitely from the heart. A Murano heart necklace, a mug with a simple message like “I love you”, an anniversary book, a book with naughty games for grownups, a silver heart, a personalized piece of jewelry, these are all wonderful ideas for a special woman in your life. If you know all about her tastes, you know the perfume she is using or the type of make-up products she buys, you can always get that to a woman, I have never heard of a woman to complain she has too many perfumes or too many cosmetics.
